Granada with Gazal: Gardens of the Alhambra

Planning a trip is always an adventure. In this section of the blog, we hope we can give you some more information about our visits, so that you can decide which tour suits you best!

The Alhambra is one of the most visited monuments in Spain, and tickets are limited (about six thousand per day), especially the general one, which includes the Nasrid Palaces. If you haven't been able to get tickets, don't be discouraged! You can sign up for our Alhambra Gardens tour.

In this visit of approximately two hours you will get to know the Alhambra in a different way. How is that? We will welcome you at the main entrance of the monument to begin the tour. You will walk through the medina until you reach Calle Real de la Alhambra, where Charles V ordered the construction of a palace that was never finished.

We will enter the Alcazaba, the ancient fortress, which dates back to the 13th century; We will not talk about it only from a military perspective, we will also have the opportunity to enjoy the best views of Granada, and the Alhambra itself!

After taking a short break, we will begin the Paseo de las Torres, passing by the Palacio del Partal, to reach the Generalife, where the orchards and water will be the protagonists. Get to know spaces worthy of a story such as the Patio de la Sultana or the Escalera del Agua. The route ends, again, at the main entrance. The best of all? If you have fallen in love with the gardens, you can come back in! And if you are curious, inside the Palace of Charles V there is the Museum of Fine Arts and the Museum of Hispano-Muslim Art.

And why book with us? At Gazal Tours we are committed to “slow tourism”. We have a commitment to the monument and to our visitors: small groups, of a maximum of ten people, in a single language (Spanish or English). For groups of four or more, we will use a radio guide system so that you do not miss any details of the visit and to avoid noise pollution. In addition to this, at Gazal Tours we like to emphasize local history and culture, so that you can get to know our city and its monuments through the eyes of the people who live here.
