How do I choose a guided tour?

You are organizing your trip. You already booked the hotel, the flights, you have searched for restaurants in the area... and you want to book a guided tour, but you feel overwhelmed by the number of portals and options there are. Well don't worry, we are going to give you some tips to help you decide!

- Do a general sweep: what companies are there? Don't stay on the first page of Google, since the first results are usually companies that pay to appear there. We like to recommend and bet on small and local agencies, which offer a more personalized product. Hire directly and avoid wholesale booking portals, as if there is a problem, it is easier to contact the company's office directly than having to go through an intermediary first.

- When you do that search, look at what they offer, what makes them different from others. For example, someone could say that their company specializes in responsible tourism, but they do not limit the number of visitors per group; or they boast of offering a different product, however, in reality, they only offer traditional tours.

- Reviews cannot be missing. But, and here comes a trick that we like: don't look at the positive reviews but at the negative ones. Why is the company valued poorly? Is it a customer who has had a bad day and is complaining that it was raining? Is there repetitive complaints that are not resolved? How does the company handle responses to reviews?

- Always look for the guides to be accredited professionals. In Andalusia, guides who have permission to work as such must always carry our card visible, which is light green, with a photo, our name, and our professional number.
