Visits for schools

In a previous post we talked about the importance of inclusive tourism and visits adapted for older people and/or people with reduced mobility. Well, today we would like to dedicate our publication to institutes and schools.

A few days ago, we had the pleasure of guiding several groups from the Juan XXIII Institute of La Chana, in Granada. The 3rd year secondary school students participated in a visit to the historic center, while the high school students toured the surroundings of the Alhambra.

When guiding a group of students, it is essential to adapt the content. If you ask us, even more important than that, is to invite to participate throughout the entire journey, so that through interaction and exchange a relaxed and comfortable environment is created. At Gazal Tours we believe that the involvement of schools in cultural activities is essential so that their students are not only trained academically, but also personally, in appreciating their city, its culture, monuments...

In addition to doing the visits in Spanish, a very interesting perspective that we offer is to do those same tours in English (and the other way round). Prior to the visit, we spoke with the teachers to find out what the level and interests of the class are; Based on this, we prepared a questionnaire that the students had to answer as the visit progressed. We like to use audiovisual material so that the tour is not reduced to an explanation that the students have to listen to.

All this not only applies to institutes, but also to Spanish and English academies; Over the years, we have made several visits for the students of the +Formación Academy.

A very important aspect to take into account is the economic one: therefore, we always offer a personalized and accessible budget so that these visits are truly inclusive with all students, from any training center, school, or institute.
