Inclusive tourism: seniors and people with reduced mobility
Inclusive tourism: seniors and people with reduced mobility
At Gazal Tours we believe that tourism has to be inclusive with visitors of all ages, tastes and colors. Therefore, today we would like to talk to you about personalized visits. Either for older people and retirees or for people who, for any reason, have reduced mobility.
Visiting complexes as large as the Alhambra or areas that may be more difficult due to their physiognomy, such as the Albayzín, requires a guide who knows how to do it in the most practical and convenient way possible. Many times companies make the mistake of wanting to visit many places because they care more about the product than the visitor, but at Gazal we believe that quality is more important than quantity: therefore, if you are an organized group and want to carry out a visit, it is important that you receive good advice and know how the visit is going to develop, if the site is accessible or not, if the bus can pick you up or drop you off...
All of this also links very well with our idea of slow tourism. For example, a year ago we had the opportunity to host some students from the Universidad de Mayores de Melilla. We took a private tour exclusively for them of the Nasrid Palaces at night, and we had a great time! A couple of months before they came, we were telling them about the possible options to visit the monument: day visit, night visit, only Palaces, Gardens... tickets to monuments usually offer discounts, so it is important that they also inform you of this when you book the excursion.
And, in the end, what really matters when working with organized groups of seniors or people with reduced mobility is humanity: treating people with care, getting involved with them and not leading them like a flock of sheep in a rush to one side to another.
At Gazal Tours we not only offer visits to individuals: you can contact us through our contact form or by phone (+34 691 58 08 97) if you are an organized group eager to discover the charms of Granada!
